Cristina Hanes has won the Pardino d’Oro award for the Best International Short Film. The award was given for the Portuguese movie Antonio and Catarina which she directed.
The movie was part of the international competition’s section Pardi di domani. This section is dedicated to screen shorts and also medium-length movies shot by young independent movie makers and also film school students.
The award is worth 10,000CHF. The festival took place in Switzerland between August 2-12.
The grand prize of the Locarno festival was secured by Chinese movie Mrs. Fang, directed by Wang Bing.
