Simona Halep is now on the list of world’s highest-paid female athletes of 2017.
Halep has reached number 10 with a total of 6.2 million dollar earnings in one year, between June 2016 and 2017. Between 2015 and 2015 she earned 6.8 million and she reached number 7. The number one in the list is Serena Williams with an income of 27 million dollars between June 2016 and 2017. The second one is tennis player Angelique Kerber from Germany, who earned 12.6 million dollars. The third place was occupied by Dania Patrick who is a car racing driver from the US. Her income was of 12.2 million dollars, the fourth place was occupied by Ronda Rousey with 11 million dollars and Venus Williams with 10.5 million dollars.
Several other tennis players have continued the top, Garbine Muguruza earning 7.7 million dollars, Caroline Wozniacki with 7.5 million dollars, Agnieska Radawanska with 7.3 million dollars, Eugenie Buchard with 7.1 million dollars and Simona Halep with 6.2 million dollars.
