The Grigore T. Popa Pharmacy and Medicine from Iasi has been included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Currently the university has over 2,500 foreign students from 87 countries.
The ranking was created for 2017-2018 and includes 1,000 universities from 77 countries. currently there are 20,000 universities in the world. The ranking also cinludes Babes -Bolyai University between places 601-800, Bucharest University, Medicine University and Timisoara University.
The ranking has taken into consideration 62 million citations from 12,4 milion scientific papers from the last 5 years. It has also considered the answers of over 20,000 international academic representatives from 140 countries in regards to the academic reputation of universities.
The criteria of the ranking is : teaching, research, impact of research, international activity, trasnfer of knowledge towards the socio- economic environment.
