Romania wins the European Table Tennis Championships

Romania has won the European Table Tennis championships today after beating Germany. It has been 12 years since Romania has won the gold at the championships. Germany however has won four titles until now.

Romania has had a good evolution throughout the competition, winning all the games. They have beaten Netherlands, Luxemburgh, Czeck republick, Russia and Portugal. In the semifinals, the team formed by Elizabeta Smara, Daniela Dodean and Bernadette Szocs has beaten Iana Noskova with 3-2, Daniela Dodean Monteiro has beaten Polina Mihailova with 3-0 and Bernadette Szocz has beaten Olga Vorobeva with 3-1.
