The Romanian rowing team formed of Ioan Prundeanu and Marian-Florian Enache has qualified and will play in the semi-finals of the World Rowing Championships. The competition takes place this year in Sarasota-Brandenton, USA.
This week Prundeanu and Enach were occupying the second place in the first series with a time of 6 minutes and 24 seconds. The first place was occupied by Norway.
Unfortunately, the women’s team formed of Cristina- Georgiana Popescu, Alina Ligia Pop, Beatrice-Madalina Parfenie and Roxana Parascanu have missed the A Finals, occupying only the 5th place.
Romania is participating this year in the World games with several teams- the women 8+1 which is formed of Ioana Vrinceanu, Viviana-Iuliana Bejinariu, Mihaela Petrila, Iuliana Popa, Madalina Beres, Denis Tilvescu, Adelina Bogus, Laura Oprea and Daniela Druncea, the double female canoe team is participating the light category- Ionela-Livia Lehaci, Gianina-Elena Beleaga and the male teams 8+1 formed of Cristian Ivașcu, Marius-Vasile Cozmiuc, Adrian Damii, Constantin Adam, Constantin Radu, Sergiu-Vasile Bejan, Cristi-Ilie Pîrghie, Ciprian Tudosă and Adrian Munteanu.
