Romanian photographer wins UK photography competition

Dorin Bofan, a photographer who lives in Transylvania has participated this year in a competition organized by the Natural History Museum in Britain.  Luckily he was chosen as the winner of the Plant and Fungi category with a photograph called Tapestry of Life.

Dorin has noted about the photo

Drawn to the gentle curve at the base of one rock face – like the moss-covered trunk of a tree in an ancient wood – Dorin composed his picture of a timeless landscape reluctant to give up its scale.

According to Romania Insider, Bofan has also founded the Romanian Nature Photographers Association called Forona and has previously contributed to the On Landscape online magazine, National Geographic, and National Geographic Traveller.
