Study shows that Romanian is one of the easiest language to learn for English speakers

A new map created by the Foreign Service Institute, which is the American government’s main provider of foreign affairs training has found that Romance languages, including Romanian, are the easiest languages to learn for English speakers.

The Institute has created 5 categories of languages in terms of difficulty and these have been translated into a map by a Reddit user called Fummy.

The map shows that languages such as Romanian, French, Spanish and Italian are easiest to learn and it takes only 6 months to be proficient. While trying to learn Japanese or Arabic  ( which are considered the hardest )would take 2 years.
