Romanian IT company evaluated at 600 million dollars

Romanian IT business Bitdefender has been recently evaluated at 600 million dollars. The valuation was undertaken by Vitruvian partners which are a London-based private equity. Vitruvian Partners has recently bought 30% of Bitdefender form a local investment Axxess Capital, according to Romanian Insider.

This means now Vitruvian Partners are the second-biggest shareholder of the Romanian company. At the moment Bitdefender has 1,300 employees and serves customers in 150 countries and has 7,000 reseller partners. More than 40% of their sales are generated in the US and many of their investments are made with companies such as Just Eat, Trustpilot and Skyscanner.
