Romanian director Adina Pintilie has been selected in the 68th Berlin Film festival. This is the first time a Romanian female director has participated in the official competition of the festival.
Adina Pintilie’s movie is called “Touch me not” and it focuses on the fear of intimacy of a woman and of two men. Pintilie said that the movie searches to discover different areas of intimacy and that the movie is a personal exploration of the preconceived ideas that we have about intimacy.
The movie has previously won several prizes, such as the Cinelink Post Republic at the Sarajevo film festival and also a prize at the Gap-Financing Market at the Venice Film festival. Dieter Kosslick, the festival director said that he was happy that he was able to watch the movie at the festival and he has been impressed with the movie.
The movie was filmed in 10 weeks and it stars Laura Benson, Tomas Lemarquis, Christian Bayerlein, Grit Uhlemann, Hanna Hofmann, Seani Love, Irmena Chicikova and Dirk Lange.
