From January people visiting Timisoara will have another curiosity to try. A touristic tramway will offer people a romantic dinner will riding around the city.
The tramway was the first electric tramway that circulated in Timisoara in 1889. The tramway goes through the city centre, the Maria square, the Elisabeth neighbourhood and the Fabric area. This type of event was organized as well last year, when romantic dinners were organized for Valentine Day and for Dragobete Dat, 8 March and for Christmas.
However, now the organizers want to make this event permanent. Therefore, the first tram dinner will be organized on January 26.
People that will book a romantic dinner will be able to choose from the menu different foods. As well, wine, water, and juice will be on offer. The price of a tram dinner is around 170 lei ( around 35 euros). The tram has 32 seats, a toilet, LCD screen, sound system, air condition, video cameras and WIFI.
The organizers said that the tram can be booked for groups if they want to celebrate birthdays and parties.
