“Bacalaureat movie wins ” Best Foreign Movie” award at the NSFCS festival in USA

The Bacalaureat movie has recently been awarded the Best foreign movie prize at the National Society of Film Critics in the USA.

The movie directed by Cristian Mungiu was nominated alongside ” Faces Places”, directed by Agnes Varda and the movie ” Beats Per Minute” directed by Robin Campillo.

The Bacalaureat movie was also included in the Top 100 best Netflix Movies by the New York Times at the end of 2017.  The Time noted

“Graduation” is long and intense, a rigorously naturalistic film that at times feels as claustrophobic and suspenseful as a horror movie. Like Mr. Mungiu’s other work, it is a thriller of sorts, built around an excruciating ethical problem. He is unstinting in his sympathy and unsparing in his judgment.

The main characters were played by Vlad Ivanov, Adrian Titieni and Maria Dragus. The movie was nominated last year for the Palme d’Or and Mungiu has won the Best Director award for this movie at the Cannes Festival.
