Romanian students win gold, silver and bronze medals at the SEEMOUS competition

The Babes-Bolyai university students have won gold, silver and bronze medals at the South Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad of University Students 2018. Moreover, several students from the University of Bucharest have won two gold medals and three silver medals.

The competition was organized in Iasi, between 27 February- 4th of March 2018. This year 83 international students have competed. They have come from 21 universities from Bulgaria, Greece, Argentina, the Czech Republic, Russia and Turkmenistan.

The Babes-Bolyai Mathematics and IT university was represented by Totos Gyorgy, Pricope Tudor Vlad and Megiesan Sergiu Florentin. The students were coached by professor Tiberiu Trif, Andras Szilard, Lukacs Andor and Kajanto Sandor. Totos Gyorgy has won the gold medal, Pricope Tudor has won the silver medal and Megiesan Sergiu has won the bronze medal.
