Maria Boitor wins the silver medal at the European Fencing Championships

Romanian women have always won many competitions in fencing and at this European championship at Erevan they have proved they can still do it.

Thus, Maria Boldor has won the silver medal at the U23 fencing competition at the individual female category. Maria has managed to beat Coralie Brot from France with 15-13, Viktoria Mesteri from Hungary with 15-13. In the semifinals, she has beaten Eva Lacheray from France with 15-10 and she has lost to Martina Sinigalia from Italy with 1-15.

Seven Romanian competitors are still participating in the male and female fencing competitions: Ana Boldor, Maria Boldro, Malina Calugareanu, Anca Saveanu, Bogdan Dascalu, Claudiu Marian Pave.
