Romania wins four gold medals at the Balkan Mathematics Olympiad

Times and times again Romanian students have proved their intelligence. At the most recent Balkan Mathematics Olympiad Romania has won four gold medals and two silver medals.

In total, Romania has been placed first in the number of medals that have been won. The winners of the gold medals are Mircea Ciprian Bonciocat who has also won gold medals in 2016 and 2017. He has obtained the maximum points of 40. At the moment Mircea is studying at the Tudor Vianu National College in Bucharest. Edis Memis from the IT International highschool has also managed to get 40 points and thus a gold medal. Mihnea Gabriel Doice has won the gold medal ( and also a silver medal at the last year’s competition) and Leon-Roland Balan-Tribus has won the gold medal. Both students are from the IT International Highschool in Bucharest.

The winners of the silver medals are: Sergiu-Ionut Novac from the Brediceanu National College in Lugoj and Ioan-Andrei Nicolae from the IT International Highschool in Bucharest.
