Romanian man saves woman from drowning in Italy

A dramatic event has taken place in Rome, Italy where a woman was rescued from drowning by a man.

An Italian website called ilmesagero.it reported that a 46 year old woman has jumped of the bridge over the Tevere river, near Cestio river. A Romanian citizen who was in the area quickly jumped to save her. The Romanian man was working in a stand at an event close to the river.  Once he saw the woman jumping in the river he dived off the Tiberina island to save her.

The firefighters were called who took them both out of the river. The woman was taken to hospital for care.
