A group of Romanian students have returned from the International Biology Olympiad with several medals. Students from Bucharest, Timisoara and Craiova have competed with other 280 students from 70 countries and have managed to win one silver medal and three bronze medals.
Andrei Mitrofan from the IT Highschool in Bucharest has won the silver medal, Silvia Ada from the C.D.Loga National college in Timisoara has won the bronze medal, Elena Diana Gabroveanu from the Fratii Buzesti national college from Craiva has won another bronze medal and Magdy Mekdad from the Mihai Viteazul national college in Bucharest has also won a bronze medal.
The students were coached by doctor Georgiana Duta-Cornescu from the Biology faculty which belongs to Bucharest University. The Olympiad was organized in Iran this year.
