Romanian restaurant amongst best 5 in Paris

What do you think when someone says Paris? Beautiful areas to visit, corner cafes and amazing food, probably but you would not be thinking about Romanian food.

Well, Vogue magazine has made a top 5 restaurants of the moment in Paris and a restaurant led by two Romanian chefs was lister. The tiny restaurant is called Ibrik and they do serve Romanian food. Here you can enjoy- mamaliga with sour cream, sarmale ( stuffed cabbage leaves), trout, beef with truffles and many more. The restaurant has received many positive reviews from the Parisian critics.

The restaurant led by Bogdan Alexandrescu and Ovidiu Malisevschi was also listed in LeFigaro’s 20 best tables in Paris and 10 extra’s. Who are the chefs? Bogdan Alexandrescu was a finalist on the first season of Masterchef Romania, he is from Cluj and he studied at the l’Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes du Gout in Paris. Ovidiu Malisevschi is from Bucharest and he has studied at the Cordon Bleu. He has also worked under Frederic Simonin and at the Anne-Sophie Pic in Paris.
