Little tiny libraries will appear acroos the city of Timisoara thanks to a man called Alex Dascalu.
The Reading Little Houses will be set up on streets. Each library will have books and people that love reading will be able to take a book and read it on a bench in the park. You could borrow a book, bring it back or replace it with another book. The purpose of this project is to encourage people to read. According to Eurostat statistics only 2,8 % of Romanians read a book a month. Moreover the statistcs say that one out of 5 people have never ever read a book.
The little library house should not only encourage reading but it should bring communities together because in time locals will generate the libraries’ content depending on their needs. The little libraries will be found across parks in Timisoara and if they will become a success they will also be placed around the city.
