Timisoara, a city in the West of Romania has introduced a new way of traveling the city. The electric scooter has been introduced as another way of public transportation.
There is an Android app, TrotTM that can be installed and with a transport ticket from the public transportation company you can get access and use the scooter for 30 minutes. There are three stations in Timisoara where you can drop off and pick up the scooter. One of these stations is in the middle of the University’s Campus, at the West University of Timisoara and at the Faculty of Engineering. Being able to unlock the scooter by using an app from the GooglePlay store makes it even easier to use, even though it is not yet available for iOS users also.
These scooters run with a maximum of 25 km/h (15.5 mph) and they are an addition to the 400 bicycles that can be used as a public transportation method throughout Timisoara.
It is a very innovative way of exploring this city and also a fun way to get from one place to another.
