Every year when spring starts many volunteers across the country give their free time to plant trees. This year hundreds of people have planted trees around Cluj county.
The initiative belongs to Electric castle who asked their fans to come and help build a forest. The organizers of the festival have dared volunteers to plant a million trees. The trees were donated by the Cluj Forestry Association. The tools were also provided by the association.
The area is a surface where a degraded forest used to be and now new species of oak, ash tree and maple were planted. Overall 500 volunteers have participated in the replantation. The organizers of the Electric Castle festival noted that one of the values of the festival is to give something back to the community and to help the environment.
Overall a million trees will be planted over 4 replantation activites.
