The hungry and homeless have been fed in Bucharest this Easter

250 people in need received special meals and goody bags for Easter. The event happened on Thursday, 25th of April in Bucharest. The food was given by an association who has been feeding the homeless for 8 years.

Gabriel Ciobotaru, the president of the Your Chance Association noted that over 250 people, many of them children, were fed. The organizers were happy to help people celebrate Easter this way. Food and special packages were given in two separate centers. The packages contained food, sweets, sanitary products, and clothes. The targeted people were the homeless, poor families with children and the elderly.

The association regularly offers food and clothes once a week to the needy. As well, medical services are offered at the Gara de Nord area. There are many cases in which the association also helps people who lost their ID. Many people volunteer for this association, especially students from the Bucharest primary schools.

The association has also brought gifts and sweets to celebrate children born in April at the children centre in Bilciuresti commune. Children also learned how to cook, how to create flower vases, and how to be firefighters.
