The Romanian team has won the 2019 European Cyber Security Challenge, a competition held in Bucharest in October.
Robert Vulpe, Robert Dobre, Dragos Albastroiu, Ioan Dragomir, Mihai Dancaescu, Cristian Done, Matei Badanoiu, Alexandru Top, Tudor Moga and Mihai Cioata formed the winning team. The whole group was coached by Ioan Constantin, a cybersecurity expert.

The second place was taken by Italy and the third by Austria. Other countries that participated in the competition are: UK, France, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Norway, Cyprus and Netherlands. Here are the top 10 competitors:

The competitors had to go through several tests in the field of cyrptography, programming, mobile phone security, Linux, Windows and Mac security. The European Cyber Security Challenge competition was created by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity and its purpose is to connect cybersecurity talents with organizations in the field.
